Special Event Spotlight

IMPORTANT: ADMISSION POLICY AND PROCEDURE
FOR OPENING NIGHT KEYNOTE WITH BARBRA STREISAND, Tuesday, May 25, 6:00pm

Ticketing:

This event is only open to registered BEA attendees and you must have a BEA badge and a ticket to gain admission. All tickets are free. A BEA badge is required in order to obtain your free ticket.

Admission tickets will be distributed on a first come, first served basis. Tickets will be available at the Opening Night Keynote Ticket Counter which will be located next to the Autographing Counter in the main registration area. The Opening Night Keynote Ticket Counter will be clearly marked with a header and will be open on Monday, May 24, 1:00pm – 5:00pm and Tuesday, May 25, 7:00am – 5:00pm (or until all tickets are depleted). One ticket will be available per person. NOTE: BEA press registration will be open during the same hours so that you may pick up your BEA badge BEFORE you obtain your ticket.

Entry to Event:

Once you have both your BEA badge and your Opening Night Admission Ticket, you may begin to line up in Exhibit Hall B on Level 1 no earlier than 12 noon, Tuesday, May 25. Doors will open and seating in the Special Events Hall will begin at 4:00pm from the queued line. Everyone with a ticket MUST be seated by 5:45pm or you may lose your seat.

The BEA Mobile App is a free, all-in-one mobile guide to BEA. It offers a variety of features including: An exhibitor directory complete with booth numbers and contact information; daily schedules of special events, conferences, and autographing sessions; and in-app access to the official BEA Twitter feed, YouTube video channel, blog, and Facebook page. Also included, a link to Frommer’s Travel Guide of NYC and local NYC maps including area attractions, preferred bookstores, local dining options, shopping, hotels, nightlife, and even bus routes around Manhattan leading to the Javits Center. Books@BEA is now live

Books@BEA, the new online product catalog of BEA books is now live and produced by Above the Treeline, a leading provider of business intelligence tools to the publishing industry. The online catalog currently has over 300 exhibitors participating and contains over 10,000 titles being featured at this year's show. The catalog can be found at www.booksatbea.com. Books@BEA uses Edelweiss, the internet-based digital catalog service from Above the Treeline, as its foundation to provide users with the ability to search and browse titles by keyword, exhibitor, genre, format, pubdate, and event. Users who are registered with Edelweiss (a free and easy process) can also add tags and notes that will be stored for future reference. Exhibitors and browsers can email, tweet, and share titles on Facebook as well.

A mobile version for iPhone, Android, and Blackberry will be available in the next few days. Check the Books@BEA site for news on the mobile version and its availability.

Be sure to see all the Show Specials available on site from exhibitors so you can save money and conduct more efficient business.
